Course Aims and Objectives
SACH courses are designed for the benefit of caring,
responsible individuals, and are the first and most valuable
steps toward a very rewarding career. The educational
aims of the School are to:

further the understanding, knowledge and professional
application of hypnosis for personal growth and therapeutic
benefit. |
| 2. |
provide
a sound basic knowledge of psychology, psychotherapy,
essential counselling skills and medical aspects
as applied in therapy. |
| 3. |
provide the required ethical and professional
training to students who wish to establish a clinical
practice concerned with the skills of counselling
and the use of hypnosis. |

provide
facilities and continuing support for further studies
to enable practitioners to keep abreast of new
techniques and developments. |

provide
an opportunity for application to professional
organisations for insurance cover and professional
support. |

enable students to gain confidence and experience
through the supervised practice of Hypnotherapy. |

help students to develop the skills required
to give treatments in the relevant holistic therapy
including, but not exclusive to:
(i) client case history, client comment, attitude
and physical, intellectual and emotional
conditions.
(ii) observation of the client with regard to posture, complexion, stress
and rate of breathing.
(iii) understanding of the contra-indications and their implications of
each therapy practised.

gaining and maintaining their own emotional, physical

the human personality in all aspects - physical,
intellectual, emotional and spiritual – while

background, lifestyle and religion, sexual orientation,
occupation, relationships, childhood, and nutrition. |

to holistic therapies for the benefit of the client’s
health and well being. |

recognise
and develop intuitive skills based on knowledge
and experience. |

recognise and appreciate when it is appropriate
to refer the client to a doctor or another therapist. |

enable students to acquire the skills needed
to deal with emergency procedures to ensure client
safety. |

the development of listening skills and a caring
attitude and acknowledge the relationship between
the client and the therapist. |

ensure that, once qualified, practitioners
will undergo regular supervision and therapy as required
as part of their responsibility towards their clients. |

Common problems – anxiety, obsession, compulsion,
phobias etc.
Resistance to hypnosis – depth and deepening trance.
Hypnotic scripts
Smoking cessation, slimming etc.
We will continually assess, review and update the course
content, material and method. We reserve the right, whilst
maintaining the stated syllabus, to effect changes in
emphasis in any part of this prospectus.
Assessments
Assessments for the course consist of:
· Completion of
30 case histories
· A practical assessment in counselling and psychotherapy
· A practical assessment in hypnotherapy
In order to maintain
a high standard of practice, as required by the major
accrediting and professional bodies,
students will be constantly assessed by the tutors.
Qualifications
On successful
completion of the course you will be able to become a
Member of GHR (General Hypnotherapy Register)
and to apply for professional indemnity and public liability
insurance covering all aspects of hypnotherapy, psychotherapy
and counselling practice.
