ME/CFS (Chronic
Fatigue Syndrome) Workshop
With
Jenny Lynn
Analytical Hypnotherapy and the treatment of ME/CFS.
Come along and learn how to treat ME/CFS with hypnosis. Learn
what to look for and how to access the hidden, and subconscious
aspect of ME/CFS. Give your client greater insight into their
own condition and teach them how to heal mind and body. Jenny now receives referrals from her local GPs who have been
unable to help with the treatment of CFS in certain patients.
Patients learn why they are ill and what they can do physically,
mentally and emotionally to recover from this debilitating
condition.
Identifying the personality patterns and belief systems that
underlie disease, is tantamount to treating it successfully.
Learn how to look for the unconscious or subconscious beliefs
that motivate behaviour and, more, how to access them with
hypnosis. While not only treating the mind, learn how to
advise clients on what they need to do to treat the body
too.
This workshop is a journey of discovery for therapists and
clients alike. Learning mind body medicine and using this
unifying philosophy to treat clients with physical conditions,
is a very powerful way of bypassing the dualistic cartesian
reality that pervades modern medicine. Paradoxically it also
removes the chagrin of it all being in the mind. Clients
learn how to see themselves more wholesomely: not just as
a physical and embarrassing problem that no one knows how
to treat, but as a sentient human being that is responding
physically to, sometimes, years of unexpressed fear or guilt.
The benefits of training
There are currently sparse services for chronic fatigue
and those that exist, have been historially poorly funded.
Though new initiatives are being introduced very slowly into
the health service, there is still scant understanding as
to what ME is and why it affects sufferers. There is a large
sum of money available nationally for funding services for
ME but alot is still going into CBT treatments, where, of
the number of sufferers who have received this therapy, only
7% claimed it was successful and 26% said it made them worse!
The training you will receive with Open Mind sheds light
onto the whys and the hows of ME and enables the client to
take better control of their condition, and in many cases
to recover fully. Clients understand, and more importantly
accept calmly, the mind body phenomenon in their disease
pattern removing the stigma of it 'all being in the mind'
and returning control to them. With the insight you gain
from the weekend you will be able to:
- Advertise your services for ME/CFS
- As you start to succeed,
receive referrals from GPs
- Set up constructive ME/CFS support groups
- Become a key player in the promotion of the mind/body
debate in diseases such as ME/CFS.
- Learn your limitations and know how to advise clients
correctly regards nutrition and supplementation.
- Set up workshops and talks on ME/CFS
Few therapeutic services can offer the level of insight
that we can at Open Mind. Working intensively with clients
and their ME/CFS, Open Mind in conjunction with clients,
has learned to unmask many of the secrets of ME. With this
training, you will increase your client base and earn a reputation
for helping where conventional treatment fails.
The dates are as follows:
22nd and 23rd October Bristol The Pierian Centre
29th and 30th October Essex The Essex Golf and Country Club
18th and 19th February Essex The Essex Golf and Country Club
from 10am till 5:30pm both days.
We will be studying the following:
1. How to identify what ME/CFS is
2. Understanding disease progression
2. How to hear the client and understand their belief systems
3. How their belief system affects their immunity.
4. How to reach, in most cases, their subconscious belief
system.
5. The value of hypnosis in the treatment of CFS only as
PART of a recovery programme.
6. How to correctly 're-educate' sufferers mentally, emotionally
and physically.
7. Understanding what else client has to do to aid recovery.
The cost of the UK weekends are £180 ( discount for
early booking - see below) including lunch, teas and coffees,
and with great good fortune, the full use of all facilities
at the Essex Golf and Country Club.
